Water & Waste Treatment Systems

Sewage collection and treatment is typically subject to local, state and federal regulations and standards. Industrial sources of wastewater often require specialized treatment processes.

Sewage treatment generally involves three stages, called primary, secondary and tertiary treatment.

In Israel, over 50 percent of agricultural water usage (total use was 1 billion m³ in 2008) is provided through reclaimed sewer water.

Future plans call for increased use of treated sewer water as well as more desalination plants.
